Self-published by Craig Thompson a year before Good-bye Chunky Rice was released to critical and commercial success by Top Shelf.   The disarmingly charming story was Thompson first major work and established him as one of the best cartoonists of our time.   He went on to produce renowned works, such as Blankets and Habibi.  But this little mini-comic started it all.   This items is rare.   I haven't seen it offered up anywhere in years.   It contains an excerpt from the graphic novel, as well as other cute tidbits about turtles that was not included in the graphic novels and I don't believe was ever reprinted, but could be wrong, as there so many reprints, I've not seen them all.  Great condition with minor wear.
