Corinne Day was a visionary in the world of fashion photography and left us much too soon. This was the only book of her work published in her lifetime. And it’s a doozy. Speaking more to her spirit as an artist than her fashion work, the book is filled with casual images, shot in th 90s, of beautiful young people, mostly the models she previously used and befriended, doing what young people do. As well as some seriously fucked up personal stuff. This book is the bridge between Nan Goldin, David Armstrong and Larry Clark, and the work work they were doing in the 70s and 80s and the Ryan McGinley and Dash Snow era that followed. It’s a brilliant book.
